Barnyard mix of chickens is referring to  flock of chickens with different breeds,  diverse flock and unpredictable to which chicken bred with which. They are not pure breeds, they are mutts.   
 
Apperance they have an unpredictable appearance, they can come out with different shades of feathers. some might have feathered feet, some might not, same with combs and wattles .Beak color can also vary.
 
Egg Production egg color might vary when it comes to barnyard mixes as they are normlly not pure breeds
 
 
 
Expect any feather colors when you make your order. They may come black, tan, brown, white and some yellow feathers. As they grow, those might change the feather colors. The image you see is a cover photo of chicks hatched in the past.
