Appearance Double Laced Barnevelders are rare to find in the US, they are know for their gorgeous double laced feather pattern, they are medium to large breed with hens weighing 5-6 pounds and roosters weighing 7-8 pounds. They have a single red comb, red earlobe and yellow legs.
Egg Production Barnevelders are known to be good egg layers, they produce 180-200 eggs per year. They lay dark brown eggs from medium to large eggs. 
 
Temperament they are calm, docile and very friendly breed. They love foraging, but also does well in an enclosed environment.
